چکیده

Answering performance to business queries, mainly of aggregated nature, known as On-Line Analytical Processing queries, depends heavily on the proper selection of multidimensional structures, known as materialized subcubes or views. As user’s queries profiles change, these structures have to be recalibrated, once elected the new appropriated selection through a cube view selection algorithm. In the very core of all these algorithms is the estimation of the cost of answering queries and maintenance, given M materialized OLAP selected structures that may be of a distributed nature. This paper introduces a new extended cost model that supports both centralized or multi-node OLAP architecture, query and maintenance cost of non-linear nature and incremental or integral (from scratch) maintenance.

Selecting and Allocating Cubes in Multi-Node OLAP Systems: An Evolutionary Approach

AbstrAct OLAP queries are characterized by short answering times. Materialized cube views, a pre-aggregation and storage of group-by values, are one of the possible answers to that condition. However, if all possible views were computed and stored, the amount of necessary materializing time and storage space would be huge. OPTIMAL LOT-SIZING DECISIONS WITH INTEGRATED PURCHASING, MANUFACTURING AND ASSEMBLING FOR REMANUFACTURING SYSTEMS

This work applies fuzzy sets to the integration of purchasing, manufacturing and assembling of production planning decisions with multiple suppliers, multiple components and multiple machines in remanufacturing systems. The developed fuzzy multi-objective linear programming model (FMOLP) simultaneously minimizes total costs, total $text{CO}_2$ emissions and total lead time with reference to cus...

A multi-objective Two-Echelon Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem for perishable products

This article addresses a general tri-objective two-echelon capacitated vehicle routing problem (2E-CVRP) to minimize the total travel cost, customers waiting times and carbon dioxide emissions simultaneously in distributing perishable products. In distributing perishable products, customers’ satisfaction is very important and is inversely proportional to the customers waiting times. The propose...

A multi-objective inventory model for deteriorating items with backorder and stock dependent demand

Classical deterministic inventory models consider the demand rate to be either constant or time-dependent but independent from the stock status. However, for a certain type of inventory, the demand rate may be in-fluenced by the stock level. Also in many real-life problems, some products such as fruits, vegetables, phar-maceuticals and volatile liquids continuously deteriorate to evaporation, o...

A multi-objective mathematical model for production-distribution scheduling problem

With increasing competition in the business world and the emergence and development of new technologies, many companies have turned to integrated production and distribution for timely production and delivery at the lowest cost of production and distribution and with the least delay in delivery. By increasing human population and the increase in greenhouse gas emissions and industrial waste, in...
